Q1: Can I change my username?

Usernames is a unique name for each user in the app. The user name cannot be changed because it is used to identify each user in the app.

Q2: I created my account and mistyped my username, what should I do?

You can send us an email to SCS@streetCarSociety.com with your existing username and the requested change. The team will check your request and get back to you. We usually respond very fast.

Q3: Why is my connections page empty? How to add a connection?

Street car society is based on a map location. Browse user profiles in the map and click on connect button to send a connection request. When the other user accepts your connection he will be added to your connections page and will be displayed with green annotation on the map.

Q4: What does the annotations color mean?

Currently the app has 5 types of annotations:
  1. Blue annotation: Your annotation
  2. Green annotation: Connected user
  3. Red annotation: Not connected
  4. Black with golden border: Business location
  5. Black with white border: Event

Q5: How to change my profile image?

  1. You can change it by tapping edit on your profile.
  2. Tap the camera icon at the bottom of shadow or your profile picture and select the picture form you photo library or camera.
  3. Click Save to save your changes

Q6: How to change my location?

  1. You can change it by tapping edit on your profile.
  2. Click the location icon to change your location. It will take you to the map. Zoom in to the new location you want. Press & hold to drop your new location pin.
  3. Go back to profile setting
  4. Click Save to save your changes

Q7: What is the use of the profile points?

The profile points shows the active user in the app. The more connections you have the more points you earn. Users with high points have higher precedence when displayed on the map. You also can redeem your points to arrange events and add your business to the map. More redeem options will come soon.

Q8: How do I earn points?

There are multiple ways to earn points:
  1. You earn 15 points every time a new account is created using your username as a referral.
  2. You earn 10 points when you create your account using a username as referral.
  3. You earn 5 points when you connection request is accepted
  4. You earn 3 points when you accept a connection request
  5. Purchase profile points from the store.
  6. More earning options will come soon

Q9: What is the best way to earn points?

Use the share and earn page from the burger menu. Share the app with your friends through your Facebook, Twitter or email. Tell your friends to use your app username as a referral when they create their accounts. You will earn 15 points for each referral and your friend will get 10 points for using a referral.

Q10: I don’t see a lot of people in my area, what should I do?

Our app is still new, help us spread the word and invite your friends to join the app. Remember to give them your username to use it as referral. You can use the share and earn page to post on Facebook, tweet or send an email about the app to your friends.

Q11: The map is not showing all annotations?

You can zoom out as far as you want. The app will show you only 25 annotation at a time. Click on one annotation and swipe, the displayed user annotation will have a black border. When you reach to number 25 a button will show up to load more profiles. The next 25 annotations and profiles will display until you finish the total number of user on that view.

Q12: The map is not loading correctly?

This could be a temporary behavior. Try to sign out and sign in again to fix the problem. I updated the app and now when I load the app it crashes right away, what should I do? Updating the app usually involves major changes. Try to delete the app and download it again. It should fix your issue right away. Q13: When I delete a vehicle, do I lose my points?

If you purchased vehicle like points you will not lose them, the vehicle purchased points will be distributed evenly between the remaining vehicles.

Q14: How to add my business to the map?

  1. Go to your profile and tap on the business icon on the bottom right.
  2. Fill your business information, business name, URL, contact name, contact email and location.
  3. Select the duration that you want your business to show up in the map.
  4. After selecting the duration the red label will display the remaining days until your business is removed from the map.
  5. Users will be able to see your business annotation on the map, when they click they will be directed to your website.
  6. On your profile under the business icon the pin clicks and URL visits will be updated.

Q15: I added my business to the map for 14 days, can I add another 30 days?

Yes, you can add up to 104 days for your business. If you add the 14 days the remaining label will be “You have 14 days remaining”. When you add the 30 days the label will change to “You have 44 days remaining”.

Q16: I clicked to add my business for 14 days and the button changed to gray. Can I add another 14 days?

Yes, you can but you will have to wait for another 14 days for the button to be active again. You can also add any other duration 30 days or 60 days. Each button will be active again after its duration expires.

Q17: Is the price for the adding a business going to be always the same?

No, the app team may change the price in the future. Any change will affect only the new added businesses.
